Our Partners
Community that makes it possible.
We have no paid staff and no fundraising overhead. Every meal that reaches a homebound neighbor is funded by community supporters and annual State of Texas Department of Agriculture grants BAMOW has received since approximately 2010.
Why It Matters
Partners don't just fund meals — they make the mission real
Bay Area Meals on Wheels has operated without interruption since 1982, entirely on donated time and donated dollars. There is no endowment, no fundraising overhead, no institutional safety net. What there is: a community of businesses and organizations that have decided this mission is worth sustaining.
When a sponsor writes a check or a partner donates supplies, the effect is direct and immediate. BAMOW spends 95 cents of every dollar on food. There is no administrative layer between a partner's contribution and the hot meal that arrives at someone's door the next weekday morning.
That directness is rare. Our partners know it, and it's why many of them have stayed with us for years.

The congregations behind the mission
Three local churches have been woven into BAMOW's story since the very beginning — offering space, logistical support, and consistent financial backing year after year.
-
Delivery Home & In-Kind Support
Gloria Dei Lutheran
Gloria Dei is where BAMOW volunteers gather every weekday morning to organize meals and dispatch routes. The church provides this space rent-free and makes their maintenance staff available to help move equipment and supplies as needed. Gloria Dei donates to BAMOW annually.
-
Mailing Address & Meeting Host
House of Prayer Lutheran
House of Prayer has served as the official mailing address for BAMOW for many years and hosted board meetings for much of the organization's history. Their ongoing support — including regular donations — reflects a long and trusted relationship with the mission.

Founding Church & Community Anchor
Clear Lake United Methodist
More than fifty Clear Lake residents gathered at CLUMC in 1982 to launch what would become Bay Area Meals on Wheels. The church hosted the organization's annual meetings for many years and continues to support the mission through regular donations.
