Get Involved

You don't need a car. You just need to show up.

Navigators ride alongside drivers on delivery routes — at the door, face to face with clients, and fully part of what makes this program work. No license, no car, no background check required.

What you'll actually experience

The driver gets you there. You make it matter. While your driver focuses on the road and the route, you're the one who carries the meal to the door, says hello, and notices whether someone seems like themselves today. That's not a small thing — for many of our clients, it's the only in-person contact they'll have all day.

Routes run Monday through Friday. Most take 2 to 2½ hours — a handful of stops, a handful of conversations, and you're done by 12:30. You navigate from stop to stop using the printed route sheet and bring yourself. That's what's needed.

The Route

What a delivery day looks like

  1. Meet your driver at the staging area

Join your driver at Gloria Dei Lutheran at 10:00 AM and help load the insulated meal bags.

  2. Navigate the route

You read the printed stop list and guide your driver between addresses. Each route has 8–12 stops, all within the same neighborhood, with client notes to keep you on track.

  3. Knock, greet, deliver

You carry the meal to the door, say hello, and check in. For many clients this brief exchange is the best part of their day — and often yours too.

  4. Done by 12:30

Most routes wrap up between 12:00 and 12:30 PM. Return the bags and you're free for the rest of the day.
