Mobility issues made cooking impossible. Frozen meals were her only option — until Meals on Wheels volunteers started showing up at her door.
When mobility issues began to make daily life more difficult, Arlene Fernandez relied mostly on frozen foods for her meals. Preparing fresh food was no longer an option, and her days became increasingly isolated.
Today, seeing the Meals on Wheels volunteers arrive each weekday means everything to her. The nutritious meals help her maintain her health and independence.
